Not in the strictest sense.
Not in the sense of a pair of bared cheeks.
Moon through 250mm lens, 2012
In fact not mooning about at all.
If you look carefully, just above the Tycho Crater at the bottom right, is the landing site of the Clanger Expeditionary Force. There is a recording of their communication with their small, hollow planet, while they were on the lunar surface. This recording isn't to hand at the moment but will be relayed later.
The Clangers have been great exponents of the use of the Raspberry Pi.
Here is the very Pi they took with them for the expedition.
It's a Model B revision 1.
This computer is significantly more powerful than those used in the Apollo moon landings.
Unfortunately on this occasion I missed the moon landing, no Clanger moon antics for me. Not like the Apollo 11 landing at around 2:50 am in 1969 when I was 4.5, I was woken up watch that, it took forever for them to land. I understand the Clangers made their approach and touchdown in the manner of a bus pulling up on the high street, so slightly more bumpy than the original moon landing, and much faster.
