Day 157, variety needs a palate cleanser

Something has gone wrong.  Is there a theme this week?  Let's see if one appears.

No local buildings here, not unless there are hidden references.


This is an egg box.

Those things within are not eggs, the more observant will have spotted that without my assistance.  Isn't that annoying, when people point out things that are pretty obvious.

Still nothing.

Here's another box.  There are no eggs in this one either.

It's a MIDI controller.  It has 8 pads, hence Octapad.  It was very nearly 'state of the art' in 1989 when it was released.

Look at that top quality display, mobile phone users hadn't yet imagined that they could have had an eerie green glow like that.

The Octapad, now it's gone, old hat, passed it.

Anything?

Maybe the theme this week could be 'not very cryptic', but for many it could be quite the opposite.
