Does the human race ever really learn anything. The same old problems cropping up year after year. The same face-palm action from those that spot the repeated mistakes. The same bad smell coming round again.
Is the pace of change so slow that any improvements in how we function/operate/interact there are can only be recognised after a geological period of time. It often feels like it, even if that isn't the case.
